What type of projects do we support?

Solidarity and development

In principle, the programme is open to all types of community-based projects that express solidarity and compassion with poor and marginalised people.

We aim to support projects that reach outwards in benefit of the local population, as an expression of our apostolate and charism.

Project proposals will be considered positively when they include:
  •  broad participation from the local community
  • reflect the spirit of the congregation and the values of a simple life style
  • respond to the needs of vulnerable groups
  • encourage people to get more involved in organisational processes
  • empower people through the learning of new skills
  • take into account the dimension of ecology and the safeguarding of creation

By solidarity, we mean collaborative projects that respond to short term, immediate basic needs of food, health care and housing repairs, including accessibility adjustments for disabled people.

By development, we mean projects that address longer term, social transformation through the empowerment, organisation and training of the participating beneficiaries and their local communities.

Our partners

We give preference to projects that are implemented through our own sisters, lay groups of associates known to our congregation and other sister organisations with whom we share a common vision and commitment of solidarity the poor.
